Concours d’LeMons Michigan 2014 Photos

Concours d’LeMons brought the crap car Concours to the MotorCity in 2014. The show was well attended by predominately American made junkers, go figure. The Corvair Club showed up in force and and style. The club came up with the best bribe ever presented at a Concours d’LeMons, a car for the MC to drive around for the weekend. This over the top bribe earned the club the “Nader’s Nightmare” award. Myron Vernis from Ohio took home “Worst of Show” honors with his 1977 Leata Caballero. The Leata is essentially a custom coachwork Chevette, as the Leata Company of Post Falls, Idaho bought new Chevette chassis and inflicted some horrendous custom bodywork on them. Gladly only 97 were made and very few exist today. Thanks to Hagerty Insurance and Grassroots Motorsports Magazine for inexplicably sponsoring this whole debacle. Some photos by Chris Auger… THANKS CHRIS!!!
