The Last Ride Express will be in the Concours and will be available for purchase immediately after the awards ceremony. It's a '78 Cadillac built by Hess and Eisenhardt for a mortuary in Palo Alto, California.
It runs ok, starts quickly and passed CA smog on 8/2/09. Mileage is slightly under 100K. It has four new wide whitewall BF Goodrich Silvertown radials with about 500 miles on them. The previous owner paid $240 each for them in January '09 (I have the receipts). Chrome is all there and good and the glass is good. All accessories except the A/C work. So much for the good news. Now what's not so good. The A/C doesn't work. The seams of the vinyl top are split and there is rust at the junction of the top and body. Paint on the hood is faded and peeling. There are a couple of cracks on the dash pad and the front (only) seat is a bit worn. Oh, and the plastic on the steering wheel is disintegrating. This hearse is far from perfect but looks ok from a distance and it's drivable. You can use it to have fun and creep out all your friends and neighbors or build it into a huge hot rod. Asking around $2500 or a decent offer. No trades or weird deals please. Thanks |

It's true. It's a nice ride. I had to talk my wife out of buying it on the spot. Something about putting a mattress in the back?? Crazy talk.

It's still for sale. We're dying to get an offer.
