![]() I think the photo says about all that needs to be said, really. Our fearless leader in the A100 (well out of sight up ahead) seems to have not had a really good idea of what he meant by "keeping it under 50"; perhaps his speedometer cable had broken?

did I say "50"? I meant 150!!! ![]() glad ya'll had a good time. I had the ole Dodge Van going just fast enough to make the tires squeal just a little around a couple of corners. I didnt want to upset the turn workers.

The show-- in fact, the whole weekend-- was a blast! The MG Metro even got me back to Seattle in time for me to teach my night class on Monday at 6:00 PM despite the fact that I stayed around until after the awards ceremony for the race. It amounted to an 1800-mile round trip at about 42 mpg, using two (two?!) quarts of oil with no mechanical difficulties. Thatcherism FTW!
My niece (a '69 Volvo 144 driver in Sacramento) has a few photos, so as soon as I get copies from her I'll post some here. |

I've only received a handful of mostly Metro photos so far, but I'll post everything here as it arrives:
